Bellingham Automotive celebrating 25th anniversary with 25 Acts of Kindness

When Bellingham Automotive considered how to celebrate its 25th anniversary this year, it wanted to do something with more impact than a slice of cake. With a longtime history of supporting community organizations, the locally owned business decided to step up its efforts.

Bellingham Automotive, founded in 1991, is in the midst of its 25 Acts of Kindness campaign. Owned by John Beebe, the repair and maintenance shop is undertaking 25 separate initiatives this year to support local nonprofit organizations, conduct community activities and make special offers to customers. Bellingham Automotive is currently giving $5 to a local charity for each $25 coupon redeemed by customers for regular services other than oil changes and other discounted offers.

“Each year, we do our best to support local charities and organizations that strengthen the community and reflect our values,” Beebe said. “Because people have been so kind to us over the years, we have been inspired to give back to our community.”

This year’s recipients so far include Rebound of Whatcom County, Bellingham Food Bank, Whatcom Dream, Operation Doing More and the Salvation Army.

Bellingham Automotive provides diagnostic, repair and maintenance services. It’s earned the highest rating of five stars from EnviroStars, a nationally recognized program that certifies businesses for reducing, recycling and properly managing hazardous waste.

Bellingham Automotive is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:15 p.m. Monday through Friday at 4116 Hannegan Road, just north of East Bakerview Road. For more information about 25 Acts of Kindness, call (360) 676-5200 or visit www.BellinghamAutomotive.com.
